Air Fried Chicken Wings

Total Time 20 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1-2 lbs Chicken Wings
  • 1 cup Cassava Flour
  • ¼ cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 2 tsp Celtic Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Old Bay
  • 1 Tbsp Oregano
  • 2 tsps Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ¼ cup Melted Vegan Butter (soy free)
  • ¼ cup Olive Oil
  • Olive Oil Cooking Spray (you can also use Coconut or Avocado oil Cooking Spray)
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Parsley, for garnishing

Method

  1. Set your air fryer to 400*
  2. Fill a large pot with water and bring to boil. Carefully place the clean, raw chicken in the boiling water allowing it to precook for about 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile as the chicken boils, create your seasoning mix. In a large bowl Mix all the dry ingredients and the seasonings with a fork. Set aside.
  4. Prepare the Buttery mix in a separate, medium size bowl by first melting 1/4 of the butter then pouring 1/4 cup of olive oil on top. Set aside.
  5. Carefully Remove the chicken out of the pot with tongs and place the wings in a large plate or casserole dish for seasoning.
  6. Sprinkle a dash of real salt and old bay directly on the wings covering all sides of each piece of chicken.
  7. Pour the Buttery mix in a large gallon bag then place all the seasoned wings in the bag. Seal and turn the bag with your hands ensuring all pieces are coated completely.
  8. Using tongs, remove one wing out of the bag at a time and place it in the seasoning bowl. Coat the chicken with the “flour” seasoning mix.
  9. Lay flat in the air fryer (tuck in the tips as you layer the chicken flat). Spray with olive oil spray and cook for 10 minutes & flip half way.
  10. Once it is cooked through, remove from air fryer. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with parsley.
