Turmeric Tonic - The best warm drink for your body!

 

Turmeric Tonic

Ready in 4 minutes

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of hot water

  • 2 Tsp Organic Ground Turmeric

  • 1 Tsp Organic Ground Ginger or fresh ginger root, shredded

  • 1/2 of a Lemon (juiced/squeezed)

  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper

  • 2 tsp of raw local Honey

PREPARATION

  1. If you have fresh ginger shred it with a cheese grater. Add it to a small pot and cover it with water. Bring to bowl and the turn off.

  2. In a mug, add your dry ingredients.

  3. Squeeze in the juice of the lemon half.

  4. Add your honey.

  5. Pour over with hot water either from the kettle or using the the freshly boiled ginger. NOTE: Use a strainer to strain the ginger as you pour the hot water into your cup.

  6. Stir to mix well.

  7. Let the Turmeric Tonic brew for about 3 minutes. Then, stir again.

  8. Carefully sip to enjoy!
